[title]
This sale of beautiful hand-stitched cushions, bags and quilts is organised by The Fine Cell Work, a charity which aims to train prisoners in paid, skilled, creative needlework that fosters hope, self discipline and self esteem in the participants. The charity trains over 500 prisoners across Britain, with the inmates' work exhibited by the V&A and commissioned by Engish Heritage. Designers such as Pentreath & Hall, Kit Kemp and John Stefanisdis have provided patterns, and proceeds go to both the prisoners for their work and towards training workshops and materials.
