There are more than 100 performances over the weekend of this superb annual festival, now in its sixth year, but the family-focused offerings are especially enticing. 'The Wimpy Kid Show' - based on the popular children's books - includes a quiz and drawing activities, there's a puppet version of 'Alice in Wonderland', and a 'Beast Quest' tournament.
Other children's activities include classical concerts and dance performances, and creative workshops.
The 'Guardian' newspaper - the offices of which are upstairs - is letting in young newshounds to create their own frontpage, while boat trips can be taken on the Regent's Canal on the Kings Place narrowboat 'Tarporley'.
