The performance will feature Prokofiev's First Symphony, music from the film Lieutenant Kijé and from the ballet Romeo & Juliet.  Paul Rissmann, who presented the 2012 event, will return to guide the audience through the music. Large screens mounted on either side of the stage will enable the whole audience to witness the concert close up.

(BMW LSO Open Air Classics: in previous years an estimated 10,000 people enjoyed the free concert, so arrive early to get a good spot. No glass or furniture is allowed in the square.)

Excellent - was there last year. Incredible to see a live full symphony orchestra in London for free, in somewhere as iconic as that!
