If you've been itching to give 3D-printing or laser-cutting a go, then this two day event will be right up your digital street. Organised by the Craft Council in partnership with the V&A, the Royal Society of Arts and the Institute of Making at UCL, 'Make Spaces' will be dotted across London, offering the public free workshops, events and activities. Highlights include the 'Re-make Challenge' with workshops on making new items from trashed electronics and laser-cutting jewellery, digital design drop-in sessions, and a 'smart textiles' pop up at the V&A. The events coincide with the Craft Council's Make:Shift conference and aims to engage as many people as possible with the latest technologies and techniques sweeping through the digital realm.
