[title]
This exhibition of artwork, videos and objects looks at the history and culture of those who migrated from China to the UK in the early twentieth century. The collection looks at their relationship with their homeland through the traditional objects which travelled with them. Among the exhibits are a compass and a cloisonné hotpot that have made the long journey from Beijing as well as statues of the deities Fu, Lu and Shou (Happiness, Prosperity and Longevity) which can often be found watching over Chinese homes and shops.
