Project X

NO SPOILERS HERE... Myself and a large group of friends booked up to do this - highly recommended to do it this way as you can then get a discount as £30 may be a little steep for some people. I had no clue as to what was going to happen other than it was an interactive piece of theatre. It is a mystery that needs solving so it is much more of a role play (like one of those murder mystery weekends or the like) where you go meet weird and wonderful characters in and around Covent Garden. You work in teams to crack the mystery but it is evident that every group has a totally different experience. It could do with some fine tuning to ensure that you are getting all of the narrative along the way (it is chaotic but in a good way) and maybe some more nudging in the right direction from the actors. It is silly and funny and everyone came away saying that was the best use of a Sunday afternoon in a long time. If you are put off by the interactive nature do not be - we had shy and gobby people in our group and there is a role for everyone - you can take a step back and watch or you can get stuck in. If you have never done anything like this before I would recommend Project X as a good starting point - light hearted and hooning round Covent Garden with all of the tourists was hilarious. You will be amazed at what you end up getting involved in. Anyway no spoilers re the plot but on top tip that will make sense if you go - make sure you all keep in touch and update each other on absolutely all you see and do. Go - even at £30 it was worth it (and I always buy the cheap seats when I go to the theatre) because this is more than a theatre piece - it is an adventure.
