Author James Russell gives this illustrated talk about the British war artist and landscape painter Eric Ravilious (1903-42), focusing on a few weeks in July 1940 when Ravilious became an unofficial artist-in-residence aboard an L-class submarine based in Gosport, making drawings in the cramped interior that are now in the archive of the National Maritime Museum.
