The Design Museum is marking thirty years of leading design manufacturer and retailer SCP’s creations with a display of more than forty pieces spanning the company’s history. The exhibition brings together a collection of prototypes, originals, re-issues and new products, displayed atop a piece of specially curated non-SCP furniture. The idea is that these pairings will encourage visitors to think about the relationships between form, material and texture. Pieces on show include Jasper Morrison's 1986 slatted stool and James Irvine's 1996 archiver (a natty contemporary version of an Edwardian revolving bookcase).
