Time Out says

This relay with a difference returns after its successful debut in 2013. The notion is simple: a bottle of water, drawn from the source of the Thames deep in the Gloucestershire hills, is carried like a baton 200 miles to the mouth of the Thames estuary and out to sea by a series of walkers, swimmers, rowers and sailors. If you’d like to see the bottle during the London stretch of the relay (it arrives in the city on September 1), it will make numerous stops at key sights through London, among them the Houses of Parliament, the London Aquarium and London Eye, the Southbank Centre, the Crystal and cable car, Tower Bridge, Guildhall, City Hall and the Thames Barrier. For the up-to-date schedule and approximate timings, see the Totally Thames website.
