Waterloo Quarter Food Festival

The annual celebration of food and drink in the Waterloo area, with offers at pubs, bars, cafés, restaurants and food shops, and events including cookery demonstrations and tastings. This year sees a pop-up cookery theatre with chefs recreating their favourite restaurant dishes (Emma Cons Gardens, SE1 8NB, Sep 6 noon-4pm), an evening food fair with free samples from stallholders including Konditor & Cook (Emma Cons Gardens, SE1 8NB, Sep 6 5-7pm), butchery lesson from the master butchers of the Ginger Pig (Greensmiths, 27 Lower Marsh, SE1 7RG, Sep 12 6pm; £20), Bollywood Night led by the team from Bangalore, with music, comedy and an Indian barbecue (Emma Cons Gardens, SE1 8NB, Sep 20 5-7pm).
