There may be plenty of intimate basement bass havens in Dalston, but few have been operating for as long as Visions, which has been going in various forms for almost a quarter of a century, taking the plunge to full nightclub in 2009. The USP here is the addition of numerous VHS machines lining the walls, relaying various films, music vids and weird visuals to zone out on – a relic of Visions' former status as an actual video bar.
Garage, grime, techno, dancehall, dubstep and bass-drenched house are what you'll find punters losing their shizzle to in the rough-and-ready surroundings – with the emphasis firmly on the underground side of things – and as with so many Dalston late nighters, Visions' 6am licence is a shining beacon to those who love an extended party.
