The 50-metre pool is surrounded by art deco Grade II-listed buildings which house the Lido Café (winner of a Time Out Eating and Drinking award for 'Best park cafe' in 2011) and exercise studios, offering year-round dance and pilates classes and activities for pre-school children. An eclectic range of events are organised on the site, from film nights to furniture fairs, and the Brockwell Lido Users' Group (www.brockwelllido.com) is active in ensuring the facility meets the needs of the community. On weekdays before 10am admission is free to people over 60. Opening for 2012 commences on April 20.

I think it's a great place to go swimming - it's only £3.10 for a swim, there are showers inside and out. There are small lockers by the pool and the pool is much bigger than most of London's indoor pools!
There's a little bit of grit and leaf litter in the pool but -hello!- it's OUTSIDE. This is to be expected.
It is open until 8pm every day in summer.
Such a shame.
The lido cafe benefits from a beautiful setting; the pool, the art deco features and the park behind.
Unfortunately the service is so poor that whole experience becomes a let down. Use the pool then picnic in the park. You won't have to worry about orders being forgotten or being allowed to order and then being rather harshly told that you have to leave the cafe in 30minutes (just after you've purposely moved to a table that hasn't been booked for another hour).
So annoyed...all it's missing is the service to make this place lovely.
The Lido is now managed by a new team! Things have changed - it is much better.

Very poor management service. Full of rubbish inside and outside the lido. Closing at 6pm on weekends even in the summer. Misleading information on leaflets. Strongly recommend NOT to go
