Time Out says

Fries. Toast. Kissing. Some things are better with a French twist. Go see what happens when Los Angeles galleries embrace art with a French influence, with Ceci N'est Pas, a five-month-long project between multiple cultural institutions (the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States, the Institut Français, the Alliance Française of Los Angeles and the French Ministry of Culture and Communication) and a handful of local galleries, including the Robert Berman Gallery, which will host two exhibits from France-born, Los Angeles–based artists.

First up is Marc Fichou (January 5 - February 16), whose works play with spatial relationships and the continuity between image and matter. Then see the work of Lauren Marsolier (February 20 - March 30) who photographs different places at different times and then layers and blends the images to form a new composition. Additional events will take place across town with updates being posted to the Ceci N'est Pas site.
