We're all for ringing in the new year with a glass of bubbly and donning our finest dress, but spending $200 on a party ticket? Screw that. There's a place between staying in and dropping some serious dough on a booze-fueled extravaganza, and these restaurants, bars and hotels around town get that. With either no cover or a minimal one—and virtually no reservations required—you'll be able to usher in 2016 at these parties without buyer's remorse. (But that hangover? Yeah, you're on your own for that one).

Angel City Brewery: The Downtown brewery is throwing a no-cover NYE party with limited-edition brews on tap, live entertainment and a special toast at midnight. Grab dinner from trucks like Kai Kai Dumplings, Market Burgers and Peaches’ Smokehouse & Southern Kitchen. And if you're one of the first 150 guests, you'll nab a free party favor. Sweet!

Big Bar: Our favorite neighborhood bar in Los Feliz is known for their excellent day drinking atmosphere, and they're not slowing down for New Year's Eve. From 3pm to midnight, you'll ring in 2016 with cities across the globe, toasting to the new year with Paris, Dublin, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, New York and more. In case you lose track, use local artist Dave Stolte's custom map to follow the time zones. Bring your party hats and jam out to music from each region at every hour.

Magnolia House: Stop by Magnolia House starting at 9pm for their NYE party—the first 100 guests will receive swag bags filled with party favors. A $25 ticket gets you into the craftsman bungalow where a live DJ will provide the entertainment until a champagne toast at midnight.

The Line Hotel: There's plenty going on at the Line Hotel on New Year's Eve. The good news? You can afford all of it. At POT, $25 punch bowls go a long way at the dinner table. POT Lobby Bar is offering $5 sparkling toasts all night while DJ ZO and DJ Skitz supply the beats. Upstairs at Commissary, $25 will get you three pairings of oyster, champagne and caviar, with an additional champagne toast at midnight; on the pool deck, two hours (11pm-1am) of bottomless champagne cocktails is going for $25 as well.

Townhouse: This Venice mainstay is starting the celebration at 9pm, with a $20 cover charge that includes free flowing champagne at midnight and beats by Mr. Choc with DJ Vinyl Don all night long.

Mohawk Bend: It's happy hour all night long at Mohawk Bend, where you can drink your way into 2016 with $4.50 craft beer and food specials for both vegans and non-vegans.
