6 locations where you can still drink Pliny the Younger

It may be all tapped out in many parts of the country (including it's home in Santa Rosa at the Russian River Brewery Pub), but you can still drink the extremely hoppy, difficult to brew and limited release of Pliny the Younger at a few bars here in LA. Due to cost and difficulty of brewing, the folks up in Santa Rosa make February and March the coming out party for their special release—and if you love beer and haven't had a taste yet, you'll need to check out these spots around town.

1. Beachwood BBQ & Brewing — Long Beach, Thursday, March 5. Only the lucky winners of the Beachwood Pliny Fights Cancer Charity Raffle (which have already been announced) can pick up their Pliny, but if you haven't checked to see if your raffle number was selected, now is the time to do so—you can find the winning numbers here.

2. Lucky Baldwin's and Lucky Baldwin's Trappiste Pub & Cafe — Pasadena, Saturday, Feb 28 at 11am; East Pasadena, Sunday, March 1 at 11am. Both locations are selling tickets—Lucky Baldwin's in Old Town Pasadena on February 28 and Lucky Baldwin's Trappiste in East Pasadena on March 1. Regardless of where you go, we have three words of advice: get there early. Tickets go on sale at 11am, but the line begins forming long before that.

3. The Surly Goat — West Hollywood, Thursday, March 5 at 6pm. This popular craft brew spot is serving it up again! You still have a few more days to join their beer passport program, so you can jump the line by 15, 30 or even 45 minutes.

4. Mediterraneo Kitchen and Bar — Hermosa Beach, March 9 and 11. Tickets are $80 for a Pliny the Younger dinner on March 9 where, along with multiple courses, you'll be able to imbibe in Russian River Brewing's Damnation, Pliny the Elder, Pliny the Younger and Consecration (reservation only). Just want the drinks? Individual beers will be available on March 11 for $10 a pop.

5. Blue Palms Brewhouse — Hollywood, Saturday, February 28 at 11am. For $20 you get an 8-ounce pour and, better yet, you'll be benefiting City of Hope. They'll have a cash and credit line to make things a little less frenetic.

6. Barbara's at the Brewery — Lincoln Heights. No confirmation yet, but they served in it in '14, which means...we're saying there's a chance.

Here's to drinking forever young!
