Your weekends are about to get a lot trendier. Introducing Genesis: a five-week, Manhattan-style pop-up dance party, tucked away in Sassafras’ attic (Upstairs at 1231 N Vine). Enter through the copper door and indulge in your nostalgia for '80s and '90s music as you dance to sets by DJ Smiles and various secret guest DJs. Hosted by The 1933 Group (known for their elaborate cocktails and old-school bars) and up-and-coming LA designer/event planner Jeremy Fall, you can expect the elusive hot spot to be both intimate and hip. The party takes place on Saturday nights until August 23, and you can RSVP at RSVP@wtfisgenesis.com. An RSVP doesn't guarantee entry, but it at least gets you a leg up.
