Filter Magazine's cosmopolitan music festival brings together big names and buzzworthy bands from around the world. Discover your next favorite artist while venue-hopping around Echo Park for four days after a separately ticketed kick-off party with Phoenix and Dinosaur Jr. The weekend's lineup features the Raveonettes (Denmark), Miami Horror (Australia), King Khan & the Shrines (Canada, Germany) and many more. Last year's creative performance spaces included the local Whole Foods and inside flying airplanes. But take note: The down-to-earth fest has a strict "no fashion headdress" policy. Check the website for a detailed schedule.

FILTER Magazine's international music fest brings the best new acts from across the planet to LA's east side. The four-day event showcases artists from 25 countries and counting, blending live performances with film screenings, happy hours and food and drink from around the world, as well as a Creative Summit on brand partnerships, record sales, touring and more. Now in its sixth year, the fest is still ironing out some kinks (purchasing tickets doesn't guarantee entry to every—or any—show, the venues are tiny, the acts are not), but it remains one of the city's most eclectic (and affordable) musical offerings.
