Time Out says
Printed Matter presents the first LA Art Book Fair, a unique (and free!) event showcasing artists' books, catalogues, monographs, periodicals and zines. Over 220 international presses, booksellers and independent publishers from twenty-one countries come together to hawk their wordy wares at this companion fair to New York's Art Book Fair, and if the east coast version is any indicator, it's not to be missed. Peruse naughty pulp paperbacks, catalogues full of fancy modern art, and books that you don't really "read" so much as just admire. Highlights to look for: PIN-UP (an "architectural entertainment" magazine); Darin Klein & Friends (a box set of zines by a smattering of up-and-coming artists, including newcomer highlight Peter Sebeckis); and work from Night Gallery, the hipster darling of the LA gallery scene.
