  • I really enjoyed Local 1205. I'm not often in the Venice area but due to a work engagement I spent a couple of days in the area. While exploring Abbot Kinney and famished, I was drawn into Local 1205 by the buzz of a busy lunch scene - it seemed to be a popular place so I decided to try it out. Glad I did - I ordered what they call the El Cubano which had porchetta, ham, pickles and gruyere cheese on a roll with a little bit of mustard. It was truly out of this world! I practically licked the plate. The server told me they make their own pickles and cure a lot of their own meats and it definitely shows in the quality of the fare. They have a pretty impressive list of freshly squeezed juices and smoothies - I haven't tried one yet but next time I definitely will. Also, attached is a market and deli where you can pick up some locally made items from fresh meats and seafood to salsa and cookies. Not to be missed when in the Venice area!
