The West Hollywood outpost of the Museum of Contemporary Art is here at Cesar Pelli's Pacific Design Center, a huge glass shed that's been generously nicknamed "the Blue Whale," and built to house outlets for the interior design trade. MOCA Grand Avenue downtown is where more mainstream exhibits are put up; the Geffen Contemporary concentrates on more esoteric artists. Up to half a dozen shows can be viewed at any single time between the two galleries and this PDC outpost.
