Time Out says
Peer across the East River at this KCRW-sponsored festival that salutes a musical revolution taking place in Brooklyn and channels inspiration from the New York borough in a week's worth of creative programming. Taking cues from its creative energy and blurred boundaries "between classical and popular, the concert hall and the nightclub," catch genre-bending works from the LA Phil New Music Group, conductor Alan Pierson and guitarist Tyondai Braxton—who will world premiere new material—on the opening night. Or take in collaborative performances from the likes of winsome singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens or Brooklyn indie rock group the Antlers. Check the website for a detailed schedule.
