Saturday of Coachella got off to a slightly better start than yesterday, with solid sets from Radkey, English rock band Coasts and Perfume Genius. During the early afternoon, a couple of us stopped by the Chevy McDonald's pool party at Coco Crisp's McMansion (see what we did there), which was basically a bunch of beautiful women and well-paid celebrities scarfing burgers and playing in an adult-sized ball pit. Back at the fest, Jungle warmed up the dancing folk and Hozier played "Take Me To Curch" for the one billionth time. We stopped for dinner at Outstanding in the Field (hosted by chef Alex Reznik of Ditmas and Vartan Abgaryan of Cliff's Edge), before rushing to catch the tail end of Glass Animals and Alt-J. Father John Misty put on a great show to an audience much too small, followed by a medicore show from Tyler the Creator that was packed with bros. FKA Twigs aroused/weirded people out on the Gobi stage while Jack White took over the main stage for what seemed like a very, very long set that made us miss his bands. Ratatat and the Weeknd both started 20 minutes late, which is a lot of minutes when it's almost midnight. No big special guests yet this year, which makes us a bit suspicious... does Drake get them all?? We'll find out tomorrow!
