Echo in the Canyon

KCRW is putting on a pretty major concert event this October, bringing together contemporary musicians to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth of Southern California's folk rock scene. The one-time event features Beck, Fiona Apple, Jakob Dylan, Cat Power, Regina Spektor and Jade (formerly of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes) performing the music of the Byrds, the Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield, the Mamas & the Papas and more. Tickets, $55_$99, will go on sale Friday, October 2 and 10am.
