Time Out says

Ahoy there, mateys! This pirate-themed, universally accessible playground packs serious fun into every feature. Atop the soft, rubberized ocean-blue floor, small swashbucklers will discover a pyramid of cannonballs for climbing, an eight-bay swing set, seahorse and dolphin ride-on rockers, balance steps, standing spinners and, of course, a giant ship at the center of it all, complete with sails, canons and a plank (make ‘em walk it if they’re not behaving!). Just be sure to bring a swimsuit or change of clothes for the water play feature in the “shipwreck” sand area. The shaded picnic spot is perfect for a lazy afternoon lunch and can be reserved for larger parties. Located in Brookside Park, just east of the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center, it’s also super close to Kidspace Children’s Museum for those who just don’t want the fun to end.
