This huge park, Madrid's newest green (and brown) space, lies between the airport and the Feria de Madrid trade fair centre. With time it should become one of the city's more attractive spaces, but it has taken a while for the trees to grow to provide shade. That said, the park's current draws include a series of different gardens within a circle of olive trees, an artificial river and other water features.

Possibly the ugliest concrete water freatures in Europe -how anyoune could have commissioned designed or built such hideous brutal non-architecture is beyond any local. Having said that it's greenspaces are nevertheless popular among locals and it's agood place for a bike ride (you can hire them close to an entrance on the south east side). But it's not a patch on the gloriuos Retiro,z surely one of the finest parks in Europe...
