These four delightful little museums - known collectively as the Centro Musei Scienze Naturali - are all located in and around the enormous Università di Napoli Federico II. Although the main entrance faces Corso Umberto, the easiest access to the museums is from Via Mezzocannone. The museums (in order of appearance) are: the mineralogy and geology museum; the refurbished anthropology museum (on the first floor across the courtyard); the zoology museum (a favourite with kids); and the palaeontology museum, occupying the magnificent ex-Basilian convent and cloisters around the corner in Largo San Marcellino.
