If you want a very large taste of the Orient head to The China Club in Gemmayzeh. For $27 you can partake in an ‘all you can eat and drink’ buffet. They have a wide selection of authentically Chinese choices that can keep you busy for an hour or two. That said, like with any buffet, it’s worth taking your time, to make sure that you get your money’s worth. An all you can eat buffet is never a sprint, but a marathon. It is worth pointing out the buffet is your only option, so might not be the best solution if you’re looking for a light lunch.
The platters are all generous and served up inside a curious, castle-style dining hall with exposed brick work and semi-medieval style décor. All very atmospheric but probably not enough to distract you from the mountain of food which awaits.
