Dou Dou, in Achrafieh, has being serving Chinese dishes from the Sichuan province and Beijing for almost 13 years now. It’s a fairly quaint restaurant with a simple design that contrasts with the complexity of flavours that come from the cooking. The menu bursts with classic Chinese dishes that are prepared in an authentic manner and full of true Asian tastes and flavours.
Noodles, fried rice, duck and dim sum, Dou Dou has them all plus many more. The Dou Dou chicken is well worth a try, which comes with their own signature sauce and if you’re looking to have part of your mouth burnt away by spice, then the Sichuan chicken is for you. On the whole Chinese food is relatively unpopular in Beirut so this is a welcome addition to the city’s dining scene.
