Time Out says

The restaurant half of The Angry Monkey Bar, in Gemmayzeh is decked out in a quirky, retro décor and comfy leather sofas. They’ve mixed tables, lounging sofas and a long bar to make an eclectic restaurant cum café cum bar.  If you want dinner with friends then grab a table and you’ll get excellent service with a classy, semi formal ambience; alternatively you can go for a more relaxed setting and lounge around one of the many sofas, where you’ll still get the same great level of service. Plenty to choose from on the menu, the tasty pizzas are the highlight, but the sandwiches, burgers and salads are notable too. Oliver’s offers a great dinner deal of a starter and a main, pizza or sandwich for LL. 25,000. For an addition LL. 25,000 you can add unlimited beer or wine. For the anglophile there’s one of Beirut’s most authentic ‘full English breakfast,’ which washes away a hangover faster than you can say ‘rule Britannia.’Their wifi is also among the fastest you’ll find and the coffees and cakes make it an ideal daytime work spot.
