Off the main road in Gemmayzeh in a picturesque courtyard you’ll find The Gathering. A beautiful restaurant in beautiful surroundings and one of the few restaurants in the area where sitting outside can be enjoyed without having to compete with the noise of passing traffic. The menu is a varied mix of international food, offering salads, pizzas, burgers and chicken, beef, fish and veal dishes.
Despite the variety The Gathering has managed to avoid over-facing customers with too much choice. The handful of meats can each be cooked in a few simple ways and there are a select few side dishes. Meats hang from the ceiling and there is a backstreet romance to The Gathering that makes siting in the courtyard one of the more characterful spots to eat in the neighbourhood.
