Award-winning WA concert series Hush: An Evening of Quiet Music heads to Fremantle for the first time on October 30 for a show in the port city's historic Town Hall (pictured) as part of the Fremantle Festival. The concept behind Hush is deceptively simple: a curated selection of leading songwriters performing completely acoustic sets in grand old WA heritage buildings. But there's one catch - the audience must remain completely silent.

This time Jae Laffer (The Panics), Darren Hanlon, Ruby Boots, Mei Saraswati and Gunns take the opportunity to have every last breath, whisper and note of their songs heard in the intense, highly intimate environment of a Hush concert.

Now in its fourth year, the Hush concept was started by musicians Davey Craddock and Stacy Gougoulis after they grew tired of bozos talking during their mooshier material. Previous Hush shows have been held in the Guildford Grammar School Chapel and at St George’s College, with the 2013 edition winning Fringe World’s RTR FM Award for best music show. All previous Hush concerts have sold out – so don’t miss out on this very special opportunity to hear some of Australia’s leading artists play in an environment specifically designed to honour their songs.
