Pint of Science brings fun and accessible science talks by local scientists, to your local! Our 3 night program has something for everyone, and there are plenty of games, prizes, and of course, beer!

Dates: Monday 23rd, Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th May
Doors open: 7:00pm
Event run time: 7:30pm - 10:00pm

~ Program Summary ~

Monday (Burning Questions):

Professor Tom Riley takes a look at the strange but true world of using poo transplants to cure infections!

Dr. Dale Edgar of the Fiona Wood Foundation explores cutting edge research in burn recovery, and shows us how WA researchers are helping lead the way.

Tuesday (Captain Planet):

Dr. Laura Boykin shows us how her group's research helping farmers battle whiteflies in East Arfica could save millions of lives!

Professor Malcolm McCulloch tackles climate change, and looks at how coral bleaching on the Great Barrier Reef might have been the canary in the coal mine that we missed!

Wednesday (Space Jam):

Dr. Natasha Hurley Walker uses a cutting edge WA telescope to survey the sky, and transforms her data into music! A stunning talk with spectacular visuals.

Dr. Andrew Walsh will fit in just fine with his talk exploring our place in the universe, and whether it's possible to make beer from space stuff! A deep mind with a deep glass.
