Whether you’re easing into May with a mimosa in hand or going full throttle with deep house at sunset, Phuket’s weekend line-up keeps things eclectic. Catch Moroccan Afro-house maestro FNX OMAR at Café del Mar, fiesta with flair at MAYA’s Tres de Mayo celebration or choose between going rustic with an elegant lakeside brunch at Niran, or live the high life at Panwa’s beachside surf and turf brunch. With a cocktail class thrown in for good measure, it’s all about choosing your flavour – loud or laid-back.

Cocktail making class

Trade your Friday night pre-game for something a little more polished. At Dusit Thani Laguna, you’ll learn to stir, shake and sip your way through a bespoke cocktail workshop led by expert bartenders. Pick your potion, perfect your pour and kick off the weekend with something you crafted yourself – in true five-star style.

May 2. B799 per person, advanced booking recommended. Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket. 3.30-4.30pm.

Sunday Brunch at Niran Farm

Long, slow, and made with love – brunch at Niran is a refined countryside ritual led by Executive Chef David Hands. Kick off with family-style starters of house-made pastries, garden salads and preserves before choosing your wood-fired main. A sweet treat closes the loop, with free-flow options available. Set in the serene greenery of Niran Farm, this is Sunday as it should be – soulful, seasonal and unrushed.

May 4. From B1,000 per person. Free-flow drinks B1,200 per person. Kids menu available. Niran Farmhouse. From 11am.

Surf and Turf Mediterranean night

Saturday nights are heating up at Edge Beach Club with a Mediterranean-inspired seafood buffet right by the beach. Think sizzling grilled meats, ocean-fresh prawns and colourful coastal flavours – all with panoramic sea views and a fiery beach show to top it off. For B1,250, you’ll feast on a surf-and-turf spread that pairs perfectly with optional free-flow packages (from B899 for beer to B3,990 for champagne). An à la carte platter is also on offer for those craving something tailored. Bonus: a fire show lights up the shoreline at 7.30pm, so get there on time.

May 3. B1,250 buffet, B750 platter. Edge Beach Club, Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort. 6-9.30pm.

Tres de Mayo at MAYA Beach Club

MAYA gets a Mexican makeover for a one-night-only fiesta that blends Cinco de Mayo flavour with signature coastal elegance. Red, gold and black set the scene for a night of stylish tradition, with live shows, bold cocktails and beach club glamour dialled to max. Think Tulum vibes, Phuket energy and a whole lot of heat.

May 3. Free entry. MAYA Beach Club. 7pm-late.

Known for his charting originals and emotional depth, Omar’s set promises breakbeat energy under Kamala’s pink skies.
