Birds Boutique Café review Rate it

Don't go expecting an ordinary dining excursion - this offbeat eaterie plays a soothing soundtrack of bird calls, serves its meals in wonky, home-made crockery and sports ceramic swan light fittings. The food is home-made and wholesome, featuring fluffy spinach and feta omelettes, quiches with wholemeal pastry, and legendary chicken pies. Finish with honey-and-cream-drenched pancakes or the hearty warm apple crumble.

One of the best restaurants in Cape Town - food made from organic, local ingredients, prepared by people who live their passion in a setting that is quite simply a delight. It's not fast food that's for sure, rather it's food for those looking for more than what just lands on the plate. Architects, designers, artists flock to this place because it's so different and for me, having lived in Cape Town for 15 years, it's a real find.

Its such a pity that this restaurant does not have good service! The food is so nice but the staff are rude & SLOW. Go if you like good food but have a lot of time to wait for it & dont mind a grumpy waitress.
