This Thanksgiving, restaurants are offering turkey dinners, takeout birds, pie and more

Instead of making your own meal, head to one of these restaurants to enjoy something traditional for Thanksgiving or something a little more out of the box. Whether you want turkey and pumpkin pie, a whole fried chicken from your couch or a seafood buffet, you'll find something up your alley this Thanksgiving.

Acadia

Acadia, recently promoted to two Michelin stars, is hosting a Thanksgiving prix-fixe menu, mixing tradition with a modern flair. Dishes include a turkey saltimbocca with cornbread pudding and salt baked carrots and halibut with a lemon verbena crust. They'll also be offering a special menu for kids, including a smoked cheddar macaroni and cheese. The menu is $85 a person, $135 with wine pairings. The kids menu is $25. Seatings are available from 1-7pm on Thanksgiving, and reservations can be made by calling 312-360-9500.

Beatrix

If you're looking for a pie to-go this Thanksgiving, Beatrix not only has pumpkin chiffon ($40), but they'll also be serving up a caramel pie and a dark chocolate cake ($50). Pies can be picked up on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and must be placed at least 48 hours in advance by calling 312-284-1377.

This Thanksgiving, Big Jones is serving up a family-style, four-course, prix-fixe menu with a variety of appetizers and pickles, moving into a traditional fried-turkey meal with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Desserts include squash pie and elderflower water truffles. The dinner is $50 per person and $20 for kids 12 and under with seatings available at select times from 11:30am to 7pm. For those looking to get your hands on your Thanksgiving meal early and not have to head out of the house, order from Blackwood BBQ. While he'll have the traditional turkey, he'll also serve up some interesting dishes like roasted branzino with pickled pumpkin.
