Brooklyn trio Dawn of Midi may appear to be a standard jazz outfit, but the incredibly taut arrangements favored by the group draw inspiration from contemporary electronica instead of from Red Garland. Its sophomore release Dysnomia highlights complex rhythmic interplay and synchronicity, showcasing three players truly performing together.
