The holidays will be upon us before you know it. Don't end up waiting in line to buy obligatory gifts on Christmas Eve. Get some shopping done ahead of schedule this year at Ye Olde Holiday Shoppe, a festive pop-up market at Parson's Chicken & Fish. From 4-8pm on December 7, the popular restaurant will welcome a lineup of local vendors that includes Fleur, Bird Trouble, Berglo Jewelry, Eye of the Sun, Drug Factory Press, Leah Ball and Kang Mankey. You'll also be able to purchase some knick-knacks from Logan Square eateries such as Parson's Chicken & Fish, Lost Lake, Longman & Eagle.
Don't want to shop? You can always enjoy a hot cocktail and some of Parson's cold weather-appropriate comfort food (some steaming hush puppies should ward off the blistering wind). The Parson's ice skating rink will also be open, for those who own a pair skates. There will also be Christmas trees available for purchase—an upgrade from that sad plastic contraption you have propped up in your living room. And don't forget about fried chicken (and lots of it).
