Peploe's review Rate it

There is a reason - no, make that several reasons - why Peploe's is considered to be the best wine bar in town. First, it's a truly sophisticated joint, its rooms, decked out with wood, murals and crisp table linen, are patrolled by smartly kitted-out staff and resonate to the low hum of intelligent conversation and quietly swinging jazz playing somewhere in the background. It is fast the firm favourite for a fun Friday lunch - full of local heroes and business gurus - and has long been popular as a retreat for the city's cultured set to have their casual evening meals. Chef Sebastian Scheer turns out dishes like crêpe risotto with wilted rocket or loin of free-range pork with a pine nut and apricot gratin. The wine list is obviously very good and very long, and is well worth checking out, even if it's just for a glass of wine at the bar.

hi there
wonder if we could update our listing here as it is slightly out of date in terms of our Chef and as someone pointed out below, whilst we are only 10 minutes from Temple Bar, we are actually on Stephens Green a stones throw from Grafton Street Thank you!

This heading is wrong. St. Stephens Green is not in Temple Bar.
