The Holborn Whippet is a dinky little boozer. And its tiny size, combined with its cracking range of beer and office-friendly location, makes drinking here a bit of a scrum. But force your way to the bar and you’re greeted with a tantalising enough array of ales to make the squash worth it – the Whippet is draught-only, which is both bold and brilliant. It’s not just the drinking that’s good, the atmosphere’s cracking too. It’s all low lighting and dark wood, making you feel like you’re supping a pint in the 1940s, waiting nervously for the air raid sirens to go off. You can’t ask for much more from a central London boozer.

I absolutely love this place! It is basically a pub, but a unique one, right opposite to Bloombsbury square! It is perfect for a gathering of friends/colleagues or even for a date. When the weather is nice, it is worth standing outside in the beautiful Sicilian Avenue, which is wonderful, especially by night with those amazing lights! And the best part is that you get a large selection of craft beers! One more reason to go again and again. Nibbles are also quite good!

Nice selection of craft beers and interesting having the taps coming out of a brick wall. The staff are really friendly and know the beers inside out. Great little place in Holborn.

Lunchtime, only person in. Probably down to the tempearture in there; like drinking in a fridge, Shame - had one excellent ale and woudl have had more but could no longer hold the glass!

Super little bar for our pre clubbing saturday drinks. Beer list is great but we were on the shots! Nice ot meet Neil and his team.

Popped in for lunch today - no delivery, so no food... but was given a half on the house to make up. Unfiltered Camden Town lager was lovely. Place has a nice feel though the calm was disturbed somewhat when two guys, who sounded like they were connected with the management, arrived and struck up a brash conversation. When they asked for a 'mild ale' but meant a 'light lager' I decided to leave before I got too irritated. Will be going back though!

Lucky Holborn. Spotted from the 55 bus and popped in. Busyand interesting beer and spirit range with top playlist. This is not one for the scotch egg eating slobs and the diversity of customers, prob 50/50 male female is refreshing. Easing Holborn into great beer is no easy task but it seems to be on track Whippet burger excellent and nice to see they take bookings for dinner, avoiding the queue trend.
