this pub is one of the best pub in hackney you must have a go great place

fast line minicab service 0208 5332727

Late supper a couple of nights ago. Arrived at 9.30, ordered two mains and two desserts. Mouth watering mutton, beautifully cooked followed by crumble and bread and butter pudding. Delicious and comforting. Great beer, naturally polite and helpful staff, no loud music (catering only for the staff generally). Discount offer on the food at the moment which was a lovely suprise. Consistently good. The only complaint is a charity charge, added to the bill, with no notice or discussion. Only pence but naughty nevertheless.

A lovely local and a pleasure to eat and drink in. Worth a trip, too, especially for one of the first half of the week food deals. What a pub should be.

Best fish and chips i have had in a long time! Great selection of ale's too, great place to retreat to on the weekend.

Great place for a drink outside in the sun or for an evening meal (although food isn't cheap). Really nice staff.

Big fan of this local pub! Always a smiling barman and some yummy food, what more can you ask for?!

Great bar, lovely staff and music. Awesome food. Gets crowded at times as only small, but has tables outside for sunny days

I am surprised it only got 2 stars as this is a lovely place! The food is fantastic, the service friendly, if a little slow on occasion and they have a great Wednesday night menu making it exceptional value. Otherwise it can work out expensive, but the portions and the quality is worth it I think.

Small, cosy, local. Stumbled upon this place on a rare jaunt to Hackney. Mulled wine, fantastic food and a great buzz. Excellent!

Stopped in for a drink at the Prince Arthur and ended up staying for 3 course dinner! The food was fantastic, the best fish and chips in town!!!
