Time Out says

This pleasant, open-air, 6,000-seat theatre stages big summer shows by acts both national and local. It’s a bit like seeing a concert in the woods, and rivals the Hollywood Bowl in terms of L.A.’s most magical outdoor music venue. The only downside: The “stacked” parking means getting out of the parking lot often takes longer than the show, and VIP “Quick Parking” is a pricey $75.

What’s on

Tennis

Husband-and-wife vintage-pop duo Tennis are going out in style. The Denver outfit, formed in 2010, marries Alaina Moore’s vivid vocals to Patrick Riley’s warm guitars, and the result recalls the sounds of ’60s girl groups and sunny, vintage rock. The couple has released their final album, Face Down in the Garden, and are stopping by the Greek Theatre with special guest Cults as part of their farewell tour.

Pink Martini

The self-described “little orchestra” from Portland, Oregon, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The band will swing by the Greek Theatre for a cosmopolitan set that mixes classical, jazz and pop standards with Brazilian, Cuban and Parisian flair. Catch the group now before lead singer China Forbes—who can belt out songs in 30 different languages—takes a two-year sabbatical from touring.

Stardew Valley: Symphony Of Seasons

Cozy slice-of-life video game Stardew Valley lets players run a small-town farm, fend off a major corporation and figure out who they want to woo. It’s all the work of a single developer, by Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, and that includes the music—which you can hear arranged for a 35-piece orchestra during this concert event at the Greek.

Rilo Kiley

The millennial nostalgia shows no signs of slowing: By now you’ve likely heard the news that Rilo Kiley is back together. Yep, L.A.’s own indie darlings, led by Jenny Lewis, are in the spotlight again after over a decade apart. Following shows in San Luis Obispo, Ojai and Pasadena’s Just Like Heaven fest, they’re embarking on a reunion tour they’re calling “Sometimes When You’re On You’re Really F**king On,” which wraps up right here in L.A. at the Greek Theatre, with Waxahatchee opening. Due to demand, another show has already been announced for Oct. 14, where SNL’s Kyle Mooney will join Waxahatchee as openers. Tickets for the shows go on sale Friday, May 16, at 10am here.
