The Taste attracts foodies of all types to the Paramount back lot for a weekend to sample some of the best food and wine LA has to offer. Opening Night welcomes The Times's top-tier food staff and many of the weekend's featured chefs for a spattering of tastings (both edible and drinkable) from dozens of eateries around the city. The weekend's remaining highlights include "Field to Fork," hosted by Times Food Editor Russ Parsons and Gary Menes, chef and owner of Le Comptoir. Saturday evening's "Dinner with a Twist," hosted by Jonathan Gold (Times restaurant critic), Jenn Harris (Times deputy food editor) and Michael Fiorell (Love & Salt chef), features live food/cocktail demos from some of the city's best culinary figures. The weekend rounds out with a Sunday Brunch & BBQ, followed by a colorful "Flavors of LA" cooking event. In addition, various Times editors and writers will host daily panel discussions and demonstrations on topics from farm-to-table cuisine to how to mix the perfect cocktail. Your ticket allows you full nibbling privileges, as you soak up knowledge from the esteemed panelists.
