Pictures Tell a Thousand Words at Scribble Press

Power Writing Series at Kids Empowerment Academy
Young scribes craft original tales about everything from evil witches and heroic princes to kingdoms made of candy. Stop Motion Animation Workshop at Moomah
Emmy Award--winning animator Danielle Ash works with kids to create moving pictures. They'll experiment with Lego animation, claymation and chalk drawing, and families can attend a screening of the students' final flicks. Young Artists Photography Program at Educational Alliance
No digital devices allowed here: Instead, tweens use manual cameras to learn about black-and-white photography. Budding shutterbugs capture, develop and print their own artsy snapshots and occasionally travel to city locales like Seward Park, South Street Seaport and the Brooklyn Bridge for inspiration.
