Got a Frank Lloyd Wright--in-training? Take him to the Lower East Side Tenement Museum where, starting on Thursday, January 26, families can take a new monthly guided tour examining the architectural evolution of its historic tenement building. "Exploring 97 Orchard Street" invites a group of ten visitors to join a museum educator in examining the layers of history in the tenement using flashlights and sets of clues, including historic photos, plans and charts. Participants will learn how legislation and fashion spurred landlords and tenants to leave their mark on the building, and how paint experts, wallpaper conservators and urban archeologists "read" these layers to uncover the building's stories. Tours take place at 6:30pm on the final Thursday of every month. Free with museum admission. Ages 8 and up.
