Looks like it's going to be a Lego-filled weekend! In addition to the New York Aquarium unveiling its new Lego dioramas, families can catch artist Ed Diment as he builds a 22-foot-long, 550-pound model of the USS Intrepid—using only plastic blocks. Stop by the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16, to see the Lego laborer in action. The mammoth model will be on view at the museum through September. Fri Apr 15--Sat Apr 16 10am--5pm. Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Pier 86, Twelfth Ave at 46th St (877-957-7447, intrepidmuseum.org). $22; seniors, veterans and students $18; children ages 3--17 $17; children under 3 and retired and active military personnel free.
