Time Out says

Home to the megamusical Wicked, the Gershwin is one of those large barns (more than 1,800 seats) built in the 1970s. The space was rechristened after the great composer George Gershwin in 1983 and has an Art Deco–style lobby. It shares the buidling with Circle in the Square Theatre.
