The popular Chelsea play space offers a plethora of classes for kids up to age five. But the pre-walking set is best suited for Chat & Snack, in which new parents meet other Gotham newbies. Ages newborn to 12 months.

City Treehouse
129A W 20th St between Sixth and Seventh Aves (212-255-2050, citytreehouse.com). Subway: F, V to 23rd St; 1 to 18th St. $20 and up, with special pricing for bundled packages.
The eclectic baby classes at this Chelsea tot hot spot include sign language, music, playgroups, mom and infant yoga, and more. The Treehouse also offers custom-designed classes that cater specifically to your little one's needs and interests. Ages newborn to 7 years.

Jewish Community Center
334 Amsterdam Ave at 76th St (646-505-5708, jccmanhattan.org). Subway: 1, 2, 3 to 72nd St. $25 and up.
The Upper West Side institution offers new parents a strong support network with breastfeeding groups, mommy meet-ups and info sessions on how to care for infants. Ages newborn and up.

Jodi's Gym
244 E 84th St between Second and Third Aves (212-773-7633, jodisgym.com). Subway: 4, 5, 6 to 86th St. $750 for 18 sessions.
Offering plenty of activities for parents and babies, the Upper East Side gym features athletic offerings like gymnastics, as well as music and playgroups. Best of all: You can try a free trial class before committing to a semester. Ages 9 months to 3 years.

Karma Kids Yoga

Introduce your little yogi to the downward dog before he can walk. The hour-long Mom & Baby Yoga class focuses on poses and postures that strengthen muscles, promoting better sleeping patterns and reinforcing the bond between mother and child. Dads are welcome too! Ages 6 weeks to 2 years.

Kidville

The kiddie chain caters to your child's interests from birth through grade school, with classes in numerous disciplines including cooking, art, music and dance. Offerings geared toward the drooling set include Wee Wiggle Giggle, which introduces them to language, and Little Maestros, a live music class. Ages newborn to 12 months.

The Little Gym

Babies as young as four months can participate in strength-building exercises, body awareness and coordination, and other skills at this chain. As tots move from being a "Bug" to a "Beast", they'll begin to focus on development exercises like identifying colors and learning how to take turns. Families can try before they buy at free introductory classes. Ages 4 months to 3 years.

As the crew over at Moomah says, the Mommy & Me Gloga class (that's glow-in-the-dark yoga, if you were wondering) is where the "Hayden Planetarium meets Mahatma Gandhi." Parents aid little ones in arranging their bodies in basic poses while instructors relate ideas about compassion, kindness and love. Ages newborn to 12 months.

MoonSoup
1059 Second Ave at 56th St (212-319-3222, moonsoup.net). $595 for 16 sessions.
This intimate, Upper East Side haunt has something for everyone. While Baby Bliss revolves around sensory stimulation and movement, Baby Rock gets folks up and grooving with their pint-size pogo-ers. For a somewhat quieter alternative, try the sign-language class. The best part: If you're enrolled in any class, you can hang out at the space's open-play sessions for free. Ages 2 to 22 months.

Music Together of Bay Ridge

It's never too early for your little Beethoven to hone his musical genius. At this Brooklyn-based chain, parents engage their tots with lap songs and baby-friendly instruments while mingling with other local moms and dads. Ages newborn to 8 months.
