Music in the Garden
Head to QBG throughout the summer for multicultural, family-friendly music in the garden. Hear the upbeat jazz stylings of trombonist, composer and arranger John Yao for John Yao and His 17-Piece Instrument (May 24); celebrate Father's Day with Quintet of the Americas from the Latin American Cultural Center of Queens (June 15); join renowned violinist Alicia Svigals and Grammy-winning band The Klezmatics, and picnic and dance to the Eastern European-style tunes on the Oak Allee (July 27); and enjoy the beats of The Ebony Hillbillies, NYC's only African-American string band as they engage in genres ranging from bluegrass and folk to rock (Aug 16). Ages 5 and up.
