It's not polite to play with your food—unless, that is, it's in the name of charity. During the annual competition hosted by the Society for Design Administration, families can gaze at towering structures built by leading architecture and engineering pros from cans of food. Groups compete for Best Meal and Best Use of Labels, among other titles. Once the winner is decided at the end of the contest, all cans are donated to City Harvest. Families can be a part of the action by bringing their own canned goods to the exhibition space. Click through our slide show of works on display, then head downtown (before November 21) to see these structures for yourself.
