Lactation stations at work
Mon May 5 2008
A post on gawker this morning mentioned the Conde Nast offices at 4 Times Square (and home to the likes of Glamour, Vanity Fair and Vogue magazines) might be carving out a space for breastfeeding moms to pump and gossip. Do you think offices should be required to provide so-called lactation stations? I'm all for them--why should breastfeeding mamas be relegated to the bathroom? That said, I believe these spaces should be equipped with computers, phones, etc, to keep the workday as uninterrupted as possible.
For you working parents, do your offices have dedicated places for pumping?
